DAMG's participation has included owning, financing and operating MRO, FBO, cargo and airport facilities; developing and financing student housing projects; and developing and financing alternative energy projects.
With offices in Westport, CT; Los Angeles, CA; and London, UK, DAMG has the global reach to provide capital and creative financing solutions throughout the Americas and Western Europe.
Welcome to the new DAMG Worldwide! The relaunch of our web site coincides with a time of celebration for our company. We are here to kick off some new and exciting initiatives, as well as acknowledge a renewed interest in sectors that are attractive to us once more.
When DAMG was first founded in the early nineties, it was a small shop with humble beginnings and grand ambitions. We couldn’t have anticipated becoming the multi-faceted organization that we are today -what we did know then was that we had a hunch, and a clear vision that the marriage of luck and timing sometimes offers. From the beginning, we sought to make strategic investments, create financial structures utilizing complex capital market execution, and move forward with several meaningful ventures in the aviation sector. Our good fortune has allowed us to create opportunities where others didn’t perceive them or were afraid to tread, and our ambition has driven us into new and exciting spaces ever since.
DAMG Aviation (“DAG”) in particular was able to identify a newly established demand for private capital and creativity within the government-owned airport asset space. DAG was the first to apply to the federal government’s then recently launched US Airport Privatization Program, making 1996 a crucial year for DAG and its establishment and expansion within this highly specific and highly competitive industry. Successes stateside led to opportunities in Western Europe, where DAG successfully acquired FBOs, MROs and other airport facilities. DAG remains committed to the transportation and aviation sectors, and we anticipate growing our portfolio of investments in the space.
2015 marks the 20th year DAMG has been in business. Today, DAMG Worldwide lives as a multi-national company with assets on 3 continents and investors and partners that span the globe.
Presently, our areas of concentration, in addition to Aviation, include strategic investments in social infrastructure via student housing and other higher-education initiatives; advisory services, both independently and with our London affiliates; alternative lighting solutions via DAMG Lighting (“DAL”) and our more recently established DAMG Alternative Energy subsidiary, meant to foster projects in the biomass, wind and solar space; and DAMG Credit, providing lines of credit to DAMG entities and others in the alternative energy space. There’s even a DAMG-sponsored racing affiliate with a car climbing the IMSA ladder.
If anything is clear to the folks here at Worldwide, it’s that it's no longer 1996. There has been a remarkable evolution in the way our company conducts business. Ease of communication and technological advancement has presented both incredible opportunity for new growth and a wild demand we couldn’t have foreseen. Through it all we’ve tried to anticipate market trends and remain competitive in our fields without forsaking our core values. We strive to be the leader in intuitive, innovative problem solving within our many spheres, consistently delivering an above average return to our investors’ year over year.
Above all, we are a family office. As current employees of DAMG, I have taught my children those same values and I am proud to witness them as they continue to reflect them within the framework of Worldwide. People have always been and will continue to be our greatest asset. From our own staff to those that we’ve have the good fortune of working with, with look forward to fostering old and forging new relationships, now and in the future.
